Perspective and Foreshortening

This image is a great example of two-point perspective
Perspective drawings make objects seem more realist because they appear to get smaller as they get further away. With perspective drawings, if parallel lines are extended enough, they will meet at points that are called vanishing points.

There are various  types of perspective drawing. The two main types of perspective styles are one-point perspective and two-point perspective. Within one-point perspective, only one vanishing point is used and this perspective is best used to  draw the interiors of a room. With two-point perspective, two vanishing points are used and these vanishing points are connected by a horizontal like. This perspective is best used when trying to develop ideas in 3D, for example, the exterior of a building or multiple buildings.

Foreshortening is the effect that causes an object to appear shorter than it actually is and this is because it is angled  towards the viewer.
